Question for Week #3
Often in my prayer life I find myself trusting God. I seem to entrust with him my turmoil and my hopes. That to me is what Faith is all about. It is a deep mystery and a Big act of faith to accept. This deeper kind of conversation is an invitation to a closer relation. Why is that? ~ MJD
The question WHY surfaced for Fr. Mike a few weeks ago when one of our local clergy shared a conversation with the Confirmation class. To the question ‘are you committed to Jesus and why?’ one young man answered rather seriously ‘Why should I be committed or follow him. Look where it got him’. This led Fr. Mike to think ~ how many of us, if asked the same question, how would we answer? Therefore, the word WHY is a good theme for Lent. Each week Fr. Mike will pose a question beginning with WHY and hopefully start a discussion.
Please feel free to email Fr. Mike at firstname.lastname@example.org to share your thoughts. Join the conversation!
